Performing a Full Reset of your backup system

When is this necessary?

An "unclean shutdown" of your computer can cause many problems, including operation of the Nexus backup system. Unclean shutdowns can be caused by sudden power failure, computer lockup, blue screen, or - in the case of the recent earthquake in Christchurch, the computer falling off a shelf ;o)
When an unclean shutdown has occurred, and backups do not resume as expected, you can perform a full reset of the backup system in order to correct any problems that may have occurred. Please follow these instructions:

Opening the Nexus Support Tool

Via the Start Menu
Using the START MENU on your computer, locate Nexus Backup -> Nexus Support Toolkit and click the link.

If you have an older installation of Nexus, your start menu may not contain this link. If not, you will need to locate the Support Toolkit manually.
Opening the Support Toolkit Directly
You can locate the Support Toolkit directly in your computer's start menu. This will be located in C:\Program Files\Nexus Backup. Double-click the link titled Nexus Support Toolkit.
