Pharmacies & Health Supplement Suppliers
Typically, pharmacies have relatively small amounts of information to backup. However, it is critical that it is encrypted and secured offsite to prevent misappropriation of the information. As well as names, addresses and phone numbers of your patients, your computer data also contains their prescription information. This information should never be allowed to fall into the wrong hands.

Nexus appreciates that organisations across New Zealand vary in structure and governance. We therefore prefer to work alongside the PHO's, Associations and Governing Bodies within each region and sector.
Nexus have two models that are offered on a case-by-case basis. These are:
Group Purchasing
Group purchasing simply gives the benefit of greater buying power when purchasing the Nexus Backup system. Minimum purchase requirements and term contracts apply. Group purchasing also provides the added benefit of consistent service offering or Service Level Agreements across the group. This means that all of your members can expect the same, consistent service throughout the country.
Managed / Customised Service
Under our managed service offering, we tailor a solution to meet the needs of your members. This may include:
- Managed servers (in your facility or ours)
- Replication - dual backup copies
- On-site support
- Service Level Agreements
Managed services vary widely in their format, and may involve the placement of a Nexus-managed server in your data centre, or a distributed backup system to your members. It may also necessitate a hybrid system comprising a combination of online backup and backup to physical media - such as tape drive or solid state storage.
